Faith@Home

Faith@Home is Maranatha’s disciple making strategy to equip everyone in our church family to be intentional in making disciples of Jesus. Faith@Home can help you-- whether you are single or married, a young child or retired adult, to step into the vision God has set before us: "Reaching all generations for Christ." Faith@Home offers a variety of tools to assist you in growing in relationship with Christ, becoming more connected with other Christians, and living out your faith within your family, community, school, and workplace.

Family Celebration Weekends

Starting in 2016 we began a new tradition at Maranatha where we periodically cancel Sunday School so the entire church family can worship together. These typically have been scheduled for months which have a 5th Sunday. These special weekends give us a chance to be reminded that all generations make up one church family and to emphasize the importance for families and individuals to grow in their discipleship not just at church gatherings, but all week long at home. Check out some of the previous Family Celebration Weekends below.

  • 2016 (October) - Vital Signs of a Healthy Body

During this service, we launched our Family Celebration Sunday tradition which later became known as Family Celebration Weekends. A healthy church body is united, uses it's spiritual gifts to build up the body, and understands that the ultimate place of discipleship is within the family.

  • 2017 (January) - Knowing and Loving God

We began an examination of Deuteronomy 6 where God teaches us through the famous passage called "The Shema" that it all begins with knowing and loving God. We cannot pass on what we do not have ourselves.

  • 2017 (April)

God knows we are prone to forget and prone to wander and he designed the family to be a primarily place for discipleship to happen so he gave his followers some clear instructions in Deuteronomy 6 regarding the need to talk about spiritual things regularly as part of our daily lives.

  • 2017 (July)

We continued exploring Deuteronomy 6 reflecting on the question "Why did God give these commands to His people? We see that God knows we are likely to forget. We are also prone to wander. God designed the family to be the primary place of discipleship.

  • 2021 (January)

In Ephesians 4:11-13 we see that part of the role of pastors is to equip God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. During this Family Celebration Weekend, we clarified that Faith@Home is our "disciple making strategy" which includes four primary tools: Pointers/Recipe Cards, Faith Path, Campaigns and RightNow Media. We launched a 12-month focus on Faith Path beg
